Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to make a reservation?

Reservations are not necessarily required but it is recommended to reserve your rental equipment in advance to ensure we have what you need when you need it (i.e., what you desire could already be rented out).

How far in advance should I make a reservation?

Unfortunately, there is no correct answer to this question.  Many of our items are available on short notice while certain items are booked well in advance when needed during our busiest times of the year (late May through late August).  Our best advice is to reserve as far in advance as possible once you’ve determined your rental equipment needs.

How do I make a reservation?

You can call us at (734) 577-TENT or send us an inquiry through the Contact Us link.  Once we’ve confirmed the requested rental equipment and the date(s) of the rental, we will send you an invoice along with our Rental Contract Terms and Conditions.  A 25% non-refundable deposit is required to hold your reservation and can be paid via credit/debit card, check or cash.  The outstanding balance is due upon delivery.

 

Can I make changes to an order after I place it?

You are welcome to make changes to your order.  Please note that any changes would be subject to availability to the extent you are increasing the size of your order.  Just contact us at (734) 577-TENT to discuss should your needs change.

 

Are the prices listed per day or per event?

The prices listed on our website represent event pricing which is based on the assumption that the event takes place on one day.  As an example, if a customer rented one of our Party Packages for a Saturday graduation party, we would most likely deliver and set up sometime on Friday and come back to pick up on Sunday.  Please note that this is only a guideline and would be subject to change depending on our booking schedule as well as the time of day of your event (for example, equipment for a Saturday afternoon event could be delivered on a Saturday morning rather than a Friday afternoon).  If you require a rental for a multi-day event, please contact us and we can further discuss appropriate pricing.

 

Do you provide delivery?

Yes, we do – as well as pick up.  The price for delivery and pick up is dependent upon the size of the order and can be found at our Rental Catalog page.

 

Can I pick up my order?

Most of our equipment items are large and bulky and best delivered by us.  However, arrangements can be made to pick up certain items (for example, Party Games or Linens) to the extent a proper vehicle is used to ensure no damage to the rental equipment or the vehicle.

 

Who sets up the equipment?

Downriver Tent & Event Rental personnel will be responsible for delivery and pick up of the equipment.  We also are responsible for setting up and taking down tents, tent sides and tent lighting.  Tables and chairs are delivered in stacks and set up and take down of these items are the responsibility of the customer.
